I decided I wanted to make couple of cushions for my friends daughter and this is the result. I have loved doing them. Now we have decided to have a class at Art & Stitch doing them and it is on 23rd June - so it should be good fun.

Here are the three that I have finished so far, there is a fourth one at home being finished off at present.

Now we thought maybe I should do a grown up cushion and as Rob's Mum has said she would like new cushions I made this yesterday - isn't it fun.

A great weekend in London, watching sand sculptures on Southbank. Lunch in the Oxo Tower.
Then The Jersey Boys which was a fabulous show
Then dinner in Covent Garden being entertained by a string quartet which were superb then we sauntered back through Leicester Square and onto South Bank over Waterloo bridge.

Then back home monday evening and Rob was going to iron his shirts ready for work, and whilst the iron was warming a certain cat felt that this looked an interesting place for her to sit - she was soon evicted!!!

At the risk of you all becoming bored with the escapades of my cat I just had to show you this.

For some reason Poppy felt that she needed to be a nice new fluffy ornament in our units.

The good thing is that she is content to sit beside the egyptian cats and not try to knock them out.

Oh wow what a wonderful day, Art & Stitch were invited to have a stand at Quilts in the Church at Uppingham, which was arranged by Wing Quilters. Allison has worked so hard getting it all organised and what a fantastic array of quilts. The Church is beautiful and the stainglass windows were magnificant. So it was a magical setting really.

The ladies were all so lovely and had worked so hard to be ready for the two day event.

So if anyone reads this and has time today it is on until 4.30 this afternoon and so well worth a trip.

The quilts were awe inspiring.

I met some of our customers who came to look around and had a lovely day there.

Well I thought I had to share the latest escapades of the smallest cat with the naughtiest attitude
ever.

The lamp on the coffee table did not stand a chance! But what stupid humans thought that a table should have a lamp on it!!

The Yukka plant obviously should be lying on the floor rather than standing up - silly me for thinking it should !

But this is the ultimate sacrilage of all times, she has realised that if she throws herself at the sewing room door, it opens, so she now thinks that is a great game! But look what she has done to my pin cushion pattern and templates - now broken lamps, knocked over yukkas, pale into total insignificance.

Well we had a fabulous day on Wednesday and this is just a sample of the quilt tops that were being put together.

Monica used a Moda Jelly roll in Martinque

Maureen was using a Hoffman Bali Pop in Kiwiberry

This was Lisa's and again a Bali Pop though I have forgotten which one but it is lovely
Finally, Julie's - there were four others on the course which for some reason we did not get pictures of

Oh what a great Bank Holiday weekend, family fun - good company - too much alcohol and lots of good memories. Shame the weather could not have been kinder but it did not stop us enjoying ourselves.

Two lodges twelve/thirteen of us.

The scenery was fabulous, and the little lambs were soo cute, we all wanted to take them home with us.
